In the event that you need to cancel a Purchasing Card for any reason, the cardholder must:
- notify the following:
- Citibank Customer Service, at 1-800-248-4553 (call collect 1-904-954-7314 when dialing outside of the U.S.)
- cardholder’s Purchasing Card administrator - pcard@harvard.edu
- cardholder’s Purchasing Card reviewer
- return Purchasing Card and any outstanding receipts to relevant Purchasing Card local administrator
- cancel all standing orders/recurring transactions with vendors.
Common reasons a PCard should be cancelled/closed:
- Terminated employment of card holder
- Transfer of cardholder to another department
- Cardholder's extended absence from Harvard
- Lost or stolen card (see HOW TO: Card Security)
